Purpose

Active discussion to demonstrate your knowledge while using higher order and critical thinking.

 

Task

In groups of 2 or 3 design anactivediscussion on one of the topics below or an alternative topic that your teacher has approved.

 

Description

Research the topic of your choice and design an active discussion in your group. Your aim is to try to persuade people to change their behavior in order to directly change or not to change laws. Alternatively try to persuade people to remain the same, in an effort to counter change.You need to demonstrate your understanding of the topic and provide a 500 word summary of your discussion at the completion of your presentation. All members of your group need to make an equal contribution to the planning and presentation. You can use visual aids (pictures, powerpoint,etc) to aid your discussion. A variety of resources (minimum of 3) should be used and the inclusion of a Bibliography is essential using the Harvard referencing style.
