Dear Health Care Complaints Commission,
My inquiry is about the 'Because it looks at standards of care, the HCCC can investigate a complaint that the health care or treatment that you got was below the accepted standard.' which is of greatest concern to me.
What would be the accepted standard in terms of medication in mental health facilities?
Please bear in mind that the reason for this inquiry is because of treatment of a close family member here (who was forced by close family members- a slight mistake) to the Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit – Hornsby Ku-ring-gai

or an equivalent part of the mental health facilities provided there in Jan 2013.
The issue is that, not only did they destroy all evidence of everything that was taken into the facility, but they also placed medication into the food (a nurse kindly came before mealtime and asked so very nicely what the patient would like to eat- not what happened usually) which caused the patient to be unable to eat anything thereafter and also caused severe vomiting-I am talking about vomiting of a degree which is like a floodgate being opened. The symptoms of this medication- obviously this was a type which was not meant to be used as part of treatment- were the vomiting as outlined above, inability to excrete faeces in a proper manner - also like a flood,
Professional conduct was observed at all times (obviously), however the quality of care (i.e. treatment) was disastrous- obviously grossly inappropriate from anyone's point of view.

なんとなく、さぱりを思い出しました。
何も出来ないゲームだけど

と、今でも思ってしまいます。

プログラマーが動けば違うサーバーとかで復活できないことも無いんだ。
まぁ、でも人材いるかなぁ、っていう。
また、海外の職人をやる気にできればその手の職人が頑張ってくれるか。
プログラム自体はあるのでいけます。
マップデータ内にアドレス表記・・・そこを書き換えればいけるかも、と推測。
プログラムそのものの復刻はさすがに古すぎかと、
思っております。
それより「さぱり」の名前の由来である

コンセプトは今こそ必要かな、なんて思ったりして
ソニーの「早すぎたサービス」で忘れられて
欲しくないなぁ、と思ってしまうのです。
サーバーソフトはプライベートでは楽しそうですね。
ただ、オープンなサービスとしては
やっぱりソニーに再考を願いたい所です。
・セットアップの起動が遅い場合があります
・起動時にフリーズしますが、終了させずにそのまましばらく待てば
「接続に失敗しました。」と表示されて動くようになります。

あのころは学校から帰ったらログインしたい、今日は誰がいるかな、と毎日楽しみにしていた良い時代でした。
陰でひっそりと復活してほしいですね
先ほどさぱりの公式サイトに行ってみましたが白紙どころかサーバーに接続できませんと表示されました。寂しいですね・・・
ミラーサーバーとか作れないのですかねぇ。

変えたらいけそうな・・・きがしないこともないのですが。
「Community Place Bureau」という、ソフトウェアがあれば、サーバーを立てれます。
ワールド毎のファイルに接続先が記述されていますので、そのテキストを書き換えるだけで接続が可能です（確認済み）。
このソフトウェアは以前は、販売されていたようですが、現在は当然販売されていません。さらに、以前はEvaluation版と言われる評価版が配布されていました。探せば、どこかに落ちているかもね？
「Java3Dさぱり」というのがあって、登録申請してダウンロードしました。
コーストを歩けた時は感動しました（大泣）
ただ、人が誰もいなくて（寂）
でも、やっぱり再びコーストを歩けたことは感動です。

宝くじでも当たったら、ソニーさんから“さぱり”のみを買収して復活させるんだ！などという根も葉もない野望を抱いて久しい今日この頃
閉鎖後、他の場所でチャットをする事もなく
静かに暮らしています。

壁紙について教えて下さい
管理人さん、こんにちは。「さぱり」で検索して辿り着きました。
以前にPCG-C1を所有していた時に壁紙設定をさぱりのにしていましたが、故障といいますか、経年劣化で壊れたのでかなり以前ですが売ってしました。なので一度さぱりの壁紙とはお別れになったのですが、最近何代目かの買い替え＆買い増しでまたソニーのパソコンを買いました。また壁紙をさぱりにしようと思っていたところ、なんと、さぱりの壁紙が入っていませんでした（といいますか、プログラム本体もなくなっていたのはもちろん知りませんでした）。
そこで管理人さんのページを拝見させて頂いていると、これまたなんと、壁紙をアップロードされているではないですか！先ほどダウンロードさせて頂きました。ありがとうございました。とても嬉しく思います。
そこで疑問があるのでBBSをお借りします。実は以前使用していたサイズは確か1280x1024や1600x1200で使用していたと思ったんですが、なんとなく記憶が曖昧です。
もしおわかりにになる方がいましたら教えて頂けませんか？（もしかしたらバイオ全機種じゃなくてC1だけかも知れません。C1の液晶サイズは1024x480ですが仮想デスクトップで1600x1200で表示させていたので。）宜しくお願い致します。

はじめまして。のんとさん。
さぱりは途中からＶＡＩＯにインストールされなくなってしまいましたね。
壁紙のサイズですが、確かに1280x1024から1600x1200等のサイズはあったと思います。
正確なサイズはわかりませんが、確かにサイズの幅は3種類くらい用意されていました。
さぱりアクセサリには、壁紙のほかにもアイコンやマウスカーソルもありましたね。

さぱりでかけがえのない友達ができたこと、世代・地域・立場を越えたおしゃべりができ楽しい思い出を持てたことなど、私も含めて大勢の人がある一時期、さぱりの世界に惹かれていたんだと思います。
そして大勢の人が集まることができた一番の理由は、SONYのPCにプレインストールされていて、気軽にそこに入れたから。
SONYのチャットなら大丈夫という信頼もあり、普通チャットなどしない層も集まり、幅の広い人間関係が築けた世界でした。
個人的に３D チャットを作ってるんですね。さぱりのように健全で色んな人に愛される、楽しいおしゃべりの場になりますように。期待してますよ。
これからはどうする
x－アプリにDSEEHXを搭載(PCへポート)したら、もっとたくさんの人がウオークマンを使ったり、ほかの人におすすめすると思います。さらにはDSEEHXの処理をした後、そのまま保存できるようになったらいい。ぜひもう一度検討してみれば？すでに3年たっていますし、デジオンもCurioSoundを出しています。今こそがいいタイミング：x－アプリ7.0を出しましょう！DSEE HXをウオークマンユーザーのみの機能にしてもいいと思う。そしてClear Audio+ and Clear Phaseなども搭載していいと思う。

archived but not the first link. Would the first link appear in the future or is this Alexa data already accessible and therefore cpc20pr1.exe was never archived/omitted? They always say this data is currently not publicly accessible.-but it is! The webpage loads, but not all of it seems to be there.
if there is an archivist pro out there, i'd really like them to check this one out.
Important: notice the "id_" after the numerical date for those ".html" files, which made these viewable, rather than blank. On some sites/saves this is needed, which is handy to know.

SEMIOTICS: A Web of Icons, Indexes and Symbols
It is therefore not surprizing that when computers came to the realm of images, a new dimension was added to Cyberspace (literaly indeed, from 1D to 2D) and then the term ‘’Virtual Reality’’ started to be more than a daydream. We cannot investigate here the arguably profound impact of computers on image creation through computer graphics and virtual images. Rather, we will limit our study to the integration of pictures in electronic communication. Electronic mail, i.e. alphanumeric person-to-person communication on the internet and ‘’newsgroups’’, i.e. electronic dazibaos organized by fields of interest, are rather old stories and would never have started the current media trend for the internet and the cyber-everything by themselves only. The World Wide Web did so a couple of years ago, triggering some unconscious appeal for an electronic global world of pictures and images. Web pages are attractive and full of meaningful information - or so they seem. Surfing on the Web is worth the hours spent waiting in front of the computer while data is transmitted from the other side of the planet, or spent wandering through useless information on uninteresting subjects. Our purpose here will only be to use semiotics to analyse the Web as a communication tool and determine what classical concepts are reified in it.
Let us go back to Pierce’s classical classification of signs as Icons, Indexes and Symbols, which is very useful in understanding the different ways in which signs operate and semiosis is performed. Let us take Arthur Burk’s presentation of this trichotomy :
" We can best do this in term of the following examples : (1) the word ‘red’, as used in the English sentence, ‘the book is red’ ; (2) an act of pointing, used to call attention to some particular object, e.g. a tree ; (3) a scale drawing, used to communicate to a machinist the structure of a piece of machinery . All these are signs in the general sense in which the term is used by Pierce : each satisfies his definition of a sign as something which represents or signifies an object to some interpretant. (...) A sign represents its object to its interpretant symbolically, indexically, or iconically according to whether it does so (1) by being associated with its object by a conventional rule used by the interpretant (as in the case of ‘red’) ; (2) by being in existential relation with its object (as in the case of the act of pointing) ; or (3) by exhibiting its object (as in the case of the diagram). "
Let us now try to use those notions for analysing the main features of Web pages. Web pages are so-called hypertexts, that is, texts with some of their components (words or sentences), possibly linked to other (hyper)texts, and so on and so forth. The reader can navigate through the whole text in a non-linear manner, by activating so-called hot links or anchor points that are linking some piece of text to some other.
These links are an obvious example of indexes, with a word pointing to (refering to) its definition or to some related piece of information. The WWW merely extends the basic notions of hypertext by making it possible for one index to refer to some physically-distant location on a remote computer somewhere else on the Internet, together, of course, with the ability to link to and therefore communicate images and sound. However in order to act as an index, a sign has to be recognized as such, i.e. the index has to exhibit itself as a reference. This is done in hypertext by marking the hot links in blue ink, in order to make the reader aware that he can jump to another piece of hypertext or image, therefore using a conventional symbol in order to ‘’show’’ the index as such.
Web pages are usually full of small images that act as user-friendly and aesthetically appealing ways of navigating through the network. These are symbolic signs, in the sense that their object must be conventionally established in order to help the reader to orient himself in a homogeneous and unlimited cyberspace. In general, all pages at one Web site (physical/logical place hosted by some institution) are homogenized in order to use the same symbols to designate basic moves in the hypertext documentation (usually at the top or bottom of the pages), in such a way that the reader can quickly learn their conventional meaning. This can be seen in the example of the Sony Virtual Society home page. In this example images act as tautologies and duplicate the textual links below, which actually give their meaning to the pictures.
Another example (again from Sony) will show us that such symbols for hypertext links tend to become icons, as if it was their only means to get rid of the textual tautology. Another example of iconic signs currently used on the Web is given by the Sony’s ‘Cyberpassage’ software, which makes it possible for several users to wander in a common ‘virtual social space’ represented in real-time 3D. Users can communicate in this virtual world by two means : either written language in a small window shared by the people meeting virtually, or by using predefined expressions that can decorate their so-called ‘avatars’. As can be seen from the picture above, and from the previous 'smiley' example, the range of feelings that could be expressed is rather limited and this points out in a rather crude manner the poverty and standardization of the virtual communication towards which we are concretely going.

For years I’ve been in awe of your previous work in audio technologies. Today, I’ve plucked up the courage to do whatever it takes to get in contact with you to solve some of our little understood matters. I wish to ask for some sort of detailed explanation of SBM-Direct. I know it uses separate processors to do its 30000+ taps but what actually happens after that? Does it go to a SBM processor and if so, how is this sbm different from the one for pcm processing? I also wish to know whether DSD-Direct is truly a reversed version of the algorithm for SBM-D. Does that process involve the reversal of the SBM process as well?
Finally, who actually decided to add the infamous CXD9872 chip to VAIO and do you have a datasheet for it? Why doesn’t Sony release a USB DAC that uses that chip to allow PCs to record DSD?

REPAIRER TO PUSH HDD CABLE EXTRA FIRMLY INTO THE SOCKET OF THE HDD IN EVENT THAT TRANSPORTATION CAUSES CABLE TO LOOSEN AND POWER ON BUTTON DOES NOT WORK. (Power button only flashes but doesn’t power on if hdd is any looser than it originally was) – only if pc is to be turned on for the repairs/inspection- i don’t expect this to occur but i mention just in case
FULFIL ALL REQUIREMENTS. DO NOT AVOID ANY. Do not extend correspondence. Either sony is ok, or they’re the worst kind of liars. It’s up to them to choose.
If Sony agreed to the repair on the condition that repair fees for their ‘stated issue’ are paid by the owner, then they are not being true to their words. They did not state any time limit for TZ repairs. CRG took my extra comments so seriously they took over 2 months to address my issue! What does it matter if this TZ was inspected by third parties previously? It’s still an original and unchecked TZ that could burn down a house! If Sony Aus are adamant that EVEN repairs ONLY FOR THEIR STATED ISSUE requires additional fees, which no one else paid, this is discrimination! Sony has LIED/BROKEN A PROMISE. My TZ was stored for 10 years and is currently used as a primary PC. It’s not junk but is instead in pristine condition.
PC Pickup is preferred anytime. I expect the same speed that i experienced with Lenovo early this year. Please inspect for dangers and then send back immediately before Friday next week if nothing needs fixing. Tolerance for such slack behaviour from Sony Aus will lead me to actively lower their reputation. It has provided good evidence. I look forward to criticising CRG and Sony in a blog. Go ahead and charge shock bills to give me more to say and write about on Sony AusJ

I am writing to seek advice on how to solve a problem where the software Click to Disc Editor and VAIO Movie Story are not installed on my VGN-TT51JB upon recovering the OS to Windows Vista with a self-made set of recovery DVD-Rs.
DSD CHIP Project
基本的な事項を失念していました。VAIO DSD関連ソフトは、SoundReality搭載機種にのみBandleされますが、これは同チップを通しての音出しを前提としていますので、VAIOに出力機器が接続されていることが必須です。要はDSDのデジタルデータのまま、外部DAコンバーターへデータ転送不可ですので、DA変換をVAIO内で完結したアナログ信号しか出力不可ということです。私の場合、システム組替え時にデジタル接続のみでDA5500につなぎ、アナログを外したことが原因のようです。PCのピンジャックが余りに貧弱なので外したと思いますが、アナログ出力がないので、初期化失敗が起こったようです。推察するに、仙人様の機器も超高級品ですので、PCのアナログ出力は使わず、デジタル出力のみになっていませんか？ここをご確認ください。DSDデジタル転送が出来ないのは承知していたはずですが、失念しており、お恥ずかしい限りです。
出力機器がデジタルのみでは Playerは起動しないようです。一度ご確認ください。
これは、音声の出力設定（オーディオデバイスの管理）の問題でしょうか。サウンドパネルでは、デジタル出力デバイス（ＨＤＭＩ）は「接続されていません」と表示されてます。プロパティを開きデジタル出力を無効にしても「初期化に失敗」で起動しませんでした
いえいえ、デジタル出力の問題ではないと思います。要はアナログ出力がある場合にのみＰｌａｙｅｒが起動するのではないかと思います。ＰＣのステレオピンジャックからプリアンプへの出力、ないしはヘッドフォンが接続されていないとソフト自体が起動しないようです。音声出力の設定で、このどちらかの表示が出ていますか？ＶＡＩＯのアナログ出力器機が選択できればDSD Direct Playerは起動すると思います。
私は、PCのOSを2009年にVistaからWindows7にｸﾘｰﾝｲﾝｽﾄｰﾙでｱｯﾌﾟしたこともあって、DSDを起動すると「初期化に失敗しました。」が表示されるので諦めていましたが、ダメもとでもう一度と思って検索していたら、このﾌﾞﾛｸﾞに出会いました。
記事や皆さんのｺﾒﾝﾄを読んでみて、もしかして、ｺﾝﾄﾛｰﾙﾊﾟﾈﾙの「Sound Reality ASIOの設定」を変更すれば、DSDが起動するのではと思ったので、ASIOﾚｲﾃﾝｼｰのﾚﾍﾞﾙを変更してみました。ちなみにこの記事を読むまで一度もこの設定をいじったことはありませんでした。
この設定が「70ﾐﾘ秒」になっていたので、ためしに設定をMAXにしてみたらどうだろうかと設定をMax（80ﾐﾘ秒）にしてみたところ、初期化が正常に出来たようでDSDが起動できました。CDも再生できました。
念のため、1ﾐﾘ秒減らして、79ﾐﾘ秒に設定してから、またDSDを起動してみると「初期化できませんでした」で駄目でした。DSDが正常に初期化されるﾚﾍﾞﾙがあるようです。
VAIOのSound Reality ASIOの設定では、入力デバイスは「ライン入力」、出力デバイスは「スピーカー／ヘッドフォン」になっています。
試しに入力デバイスを「マイク」にしてみましたが、DSD Direct Playerは正常に立ち上がりました。
サウンドデバイスは、スピーカー、マイクともに VAIOに標準搭載の「SigmaTel
High Definition Audio CODEC」になっており、特別なサウンドデバイスではありません。
ただし、Window7へのアップなので、IDT社がMicrosoft社に提供している同名デバイスに置き換わっているようで、デジタル署名が、「Microsoft Windows Hardware
Compatibility Publisher」です。
これは貴重なDSD再生録音機能が付いたPCで希少価値は高いですよ。
ソフトもテンコ盛りですし。
RAMを増やしてHDDをSSDに乗せ換えたら、普通の人が使うには後5年は戦えるのではないですか。
さて、本題ですが、この記事をもう一度読み直してみてある事に気付きました。
デバイスドライバーの事には触れられていませんが、ドライバーは入れなおしましたか。
バージョンを見て「6.10.5614.0」未満でしたらVAIO Updateをして下さい。
それで治る筈です。
